Taking regular backup of your content is very important. It will help protect data your data from hacking and mistakes. Always take backup before you upgrade or change anything

The following article show how to take backup in Plesk



Log into Plesk

Click on Websites & Domains
Click on Backup Manager

Specify the following:

What data to back up. You can select either one or all of them.


  1. Domain Configuration
  2. Mail Configuration and content
  3. User Files and databases

Full. Each time you create a backup, the backup includes all data regardless of the time when the data was last updated.

Incremental. An incremental backup contains only data that was changed since the time of the last previously created backup.
Using incremental backups significantly reduces the duration of a backup operation and the disk space occupied by backup files.

 

Exclude log files - To save space you can exclude log files.

Exclude specific files from the backup

E-mail notification on backup completion. If you want to be notified of the backup completion select this option.

Suspend the domain until the backup task is completed
Select this option to prohibit users from making changes to content or settings of websites while they are being backed up.
